Meet the Active Members
The CWW
The Creative Writing Workshop is a committee focussed on, you guessed it, creative writing. We hold biweekly writing sessions where you can follow a given prompt, or write on your own work, or discuss your writing with other people, obviously with the comfort of some biscuits. In addition to these sessions, we also hold multiple workshops throughout the year, where we delve deeper into a topic related to creative writing and explain the ins and outs of the chosen topic before guiding the attendees though using and applying this new information. Previous workshop topics included scriptwriting, character building, magical world-building, and the Hero’s Cycle.
The DramaCo
Bram, Michelle, Luka, and Laura are the heads of the Dramaco, leading the association’s very own theatre group: The Understudies! Every year, we organise a Comedy Sketch Night before the Christmas break and a big play at the end of the year. All year round we plan weekly rehearsals, maintain a steady presence on social media and guide our actors, writers and technicians to put out their best work acting, writing a script, gathering props, and figuring out the lighting. We make sure the Understudies members can continue their work as smooth as possible, taking care of the budget, the logistics and the smooth sailing of the committee.
The GAG_MAG
Hi everyone, we are the T.E.A. Times! As a committee, we write around 4 magazines every year with different themes each time. You can read all our magazines on this website or collect them in the open room when they are published. Our team consists of members of T.E.A and mostly, but not exclusively ELC students. At the T.E.A. Times, you get to decide what you write about as long as it adheres to the theme, so you can talk about all your passions.
The IncluC
Hi! We are the IncluC, made up by Ricardo, Rohan, Twan, and Sterre. As a committee, we organise activities regarding inclusivity, such as LGBTQIA+ themed events, mental health themed events, events discussing (invisible) disabilities, and more. Apart from organising these lovely activities, we also try to look into how we can increase inclusivity within T.E.A. and ELC, as we want to consider being inclusive in terms of finances and societal contexts as well. We hope to organise some amazing events for you, see you there!
The PacCo
We are the PacCo, the committee that organises the parties you’ll be drunk on and the activities you’ll love. We’re not one but two committees, the Party- and Activity committee rolled into one. At the moment we consist of six members: Isa, Emma, Sophia, Isabel, Mariia and Maddie. Being a part of it is a lot of fun, because we get to pick the snacks and drinks for the movie nights or come up with entirely new activities! We also organise the Spring formal, Halloween and Boston Tea Party and of course the Anglo-Saxon Summer Fest at the end of the year. Whether you’re a big party animal or love to chill at a PowerPoint night, there’s always an event for everyone :)
The PubCo
Pleasure to meet you. We are the Pubquiz Committee! We host evenings where students get together for a good time at the local pub, getting their knowledge tested on all kinds of topics. Think of the Roman Empire, space, mythology, cheese, Eurovision, Shrek; everything is possible! Our pubquiz evenings are known for their fun, informal, gezellige and sometimes a teeny tiny bit of unhinged energy, so don’t hesitate to join for a guaranteed great time. Better yet, you could join our awesome committee and enjoy our many benefits; for example, creating wonderful friendships and having a way to implement your special interests or arbitrary fun facts into a pubquiz for your fellow students! We will see you soon :)

Signed,
Milou (head), Eva, and Myrthe
The StuCo
The StuCo (Study Committee) will support you in the most troublesome times of all… the exam periods!
The StuCo members are students from ELC and AS so they can make sure all courses are covered. The StuCo members for T.E.A. this year are Robin and Iris, and together with the USA members, they’ll do their best to get you through your exams.
So what does the StuCo do? They host crash courses (a Stuco) during the exam period so you can catch up with all the exam content right before the exam. The StuCo tries to cover as many courses as they can and are supported by enthusiastic students who teach the Stucos.
As a StuCo member, you will figure out what courses require Stucos and will find students who can teach them. And if you like it, you can of course teach a Stuco too! Besides that, the StuCo tries to help with other study related activities, like hosting question hours or attending study sessions. So if you’re in need of study help, join a Stuco or contact the committee!
The TravelCo
Hello there! We are the TravelCo, a small group of people organising a study trip while going (slightly) insane. We are responsible for making sure that the study trip happens, so we can all travel and learn more about English and our related subjects. We make sure that we actually make it to our chosen destination, that we have bedding, and do all kinds of fun activities like visiting museums, the university, and going out in the chosen city! If you would like to join us, be prepared as it is a lot of work, but it is very rewarding and fun to do!
The WeekendCo
The members of the WeekendCo have the honour of hosting and preparing T.E.A.'s annual members weekend – a Wicked Weekend. This event serves as an incredible opportunity to connect with your fellow association members and to have a fantastic time with your friends. Throughout the Weekend, participants will enjoy a variety of games and activities, team-based competitions, and free food and drinks, which will all be centred around the Weekend's theme, which can range from a bizarre space adventure to a thrilling murder mystery.
As a WeekendCo member, your role involves ensuring the success of the event. This includes coordinating the venue and transportation, managing food and activity preparations, choosing an engaging theme, and of course, hosting the actual Weekend.
The Wicked Weekend is a highly anticipated gathering, enjoyed by both new and long-time members, making it a yearly highlight for everyone involved!
The YearbookCo
Hi everyone, we are the Yearbook Committee and we are: everywhere! That is, at least one of us is at every event organised by the association. We take pictures of the events and activities and later write a bit about it, for everyone to look back on later. We also collect quotes from any T.E.A. member throughout the year, so beware >:) (kidding, by all means send us the silly stuff your friends have said)
At the end of the year we put this all together with profiles of our beloved T.E.A. members into a (hopefully) beautiful yearbook :D
